Here are some facts about what happens to our body when we don't have enough Vitamin D and Magnesium in our system. Keep your eye peeled for a healthy lifestyle!

Why so many people are vitamin D deficient?

People rarely go outside to enjoy the sun, thanks to our busy lifestyle. Most adults are stuck inside of buildings away from the sunlight from 9am to 5pm. Even when people go outside, they tend to cover themselves up with sunscreen to prevent sunburn or skin damage, which may limit vitamin D consumption.

So how are people affected by vitamin D deficiency?

One of the leading causes of chronic muscle pain and cramps is from vitamin D deficiency. Not enough vitamin D in our system causes our muscles to weaken over time and become prone to inflammation within the muscles. Also, not having enough magnesium to compete with calcium, our muscles may contract too much, causing cramps, or spasms. You may be surprised how many of us are vitamin D deficient. Vitamin D deficiency is not only a nationwide but also a worldwide well-recognized problem with serious health consequences. Roughly 42% of people in the US are vitamin D deficient and one in seven people in the world are facing some level of vitamin D deficiency.

So what can be done??

I don’t think I’m vitamin D deficient but I sometimes feel muscle pain or cramps!

People normally experience acute muscle soreness and/or cramps after strenuous physical exercise. Also delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) occurs when muscles are required to work harder than they are used to, or required to suddenly move when not expecting to move in a certain way. When this happens muscles go through micro-trauma/micro-tear along with inflammation, which causes pain. Research has proven that vitamin D has anti-inflammatory effects [Reference 2]. So, vitamin D not only helps to strengthen muscles and bones, it also fights against muscle soreness by absorbing calcium and eliminating inflammation within the muscles. Ammmazing! Having magnesium absorbed at the same time will help your muscle to relax, thereby limiting the chance of further damage.

So why not take vitamin D or magnesium pills?

People with kidney problems may not want to further stress their kidneys when taking over the RDA amount to overcome a vitamin D and/or magnesium deficiency. Also certain medical problems, such as Crohn’s disease, cystic fibrosis, and celiac disease may limit your digestive ability to adequately absorb vitamin D and/or magnesium.

Over 50% of the population has trouble digesting pills and 40% of the population has trouble swallowing pills.

Often times taking vitamin D and magnesium pills to overcome DOMS is not effective. When a vitamin D pill is taken, it is digested then broken down further by stomach acid. Then, it travels to small intestine where bile is needed to further dissolve and store it in the intestinal wall until recalled. This entire process from taking the pill to be stored could take several hours. Sometimes we don’t want to wait that long. So what is the effective and fast way to relieve muscle pain and cramps? Rubbit™MagD!

So what is Rubbit™ MagD?

Rubbit™ MagD is the first and the only all natural topical magnesium and vitamin D3 cream in an eco-friendly container. It is made with all natural and organic ingredients; therefore you can use them over and over again without worrying about adverse effects. Not only is this a healthy way to quickly relieve chronic and acute muscle pain and cramps or even get rid of bruises, compared to the products made with chemically derived ingredients, the container and the packaging for Rubbit™ MagD is friendly towards our environment.

"Yes, that is right. We made an awesome product for both you and our planet!"

How much vitamin D and magnesium does Rubbit™ MagD contain?

Each pump of Rubbit™ MagD delivers 1,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 500 mg of magnesium. You should be able to get around 330-350 pumps per bottle. Woah, that sounds a lot (in a good way)! Let’s compare the dosage to the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). A recommended daily intake is 600-800IU for vitamin D and 300-400 mg for Magnesium. But, keep in mind, that the RDA is a general guideline for you when you are healthy. When you are deficient of any of these vitamins and minerals, you should gradually increase your intake to achieve the optimal level. So, when you are feeling the pain, just pump away and gently massage the dispensed cream until it is fully absorbed by your skin around the painful area.
